I think this is an old repair, although it doesn't fluoresce under a black light(see 10th photo at about 7 o'clock) Guaranteed authentic, this is a great creamware candlestick offered at no reserve. One of the leaves of the floral bouquets has chipped(9th photo) There is a spot under the base where there is no glaze. There are some small glaze flakes to the top of the holder and at the edges of the base. But I've seen other examples like it and they have been designated as English in origin. There are no maker's marks to positively identify this stick. The holder is fluted from the top down to the base. These are incredibly delicate and very intricate. It has double handles that are decorated with small flowers and leaves. The circular base measures 5" in diameter and has cut out floral shapes. The body is creamware and the candle holder stands 11 3/8" high. Probably England or France- ca 1800-1820 This candlestick is charming and all handmade.

Not sure what it says on the plaque the lady is writing but it appears to be Dutch! If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like KPM. It is not marked underneath but definitely English and unmarked pieces are very common during this period. It is 0.875 inches tall and 9,625 inches in diameter. The piece is in great condition with a little wear and some staining and some wear to the edge glaze but no real damage. Not sure of the meaning of this scene but it certainly is superb! The rim is decorated with a scroll and flower design that is very nice. A lady sitting down writing with a quill possibly some sort of lady justice since there are scales on the ground and the fun part a little devil type figurine with a tail and a pitchfork. more Export en grisaille pieces with a black hand painted scene in the center including a person that appears to be holding a Dutch freedom hat. It is decorated with a scene similar to Chinese. For sale is a neat cream ware plate likely made by Leeds for the Dutch market around the late 18th century.
